The Kirkwood City Council shooting occurred on February 7, 2008, in Kirkwood, Missouri, United States; a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri in St. Louis County. A gunman went on a shooting rampage at a public meeting in the city hall, leaving six people dead and two others injured.
Charles Lee "Cookie" Thornton a black contractor had amassed fines for illegal dumping on vacant lots and other numerous parking and building permit violations and had a history of violent disruption of city commission meetings.
There was the name calling, the arrests, the lawsuit. But Thornton wasn't going to back down — not when the city was telling him that he was working without the proper permits, or parking his truck and construction equipment in the wrong places
He wasn't going to be "treated like a slave," a friend said.
City offers generous settlement:
" It appears to be beyond dispute that he refused an offer to have 100% of his city fines forgiven if he would leave the city council in peace, and that he chose instead to murder a number of people;
Kirkwood offered to drop every single ticket if Thornton would stop harassing City Council. He declined, preferring bloodshed."
Brother explains his motives:
'Understand that this was an act of war by my brother. That this was not a random rampage,'
`He felt that as a black contractor he was being singled out,' said Hodges, who is black. `I guess he thought mentally he had no more recourse".
Thornton's brother, Gerald Thornton, quoted by MSNBC (Brother had previously served time for murder)
Murdering thug considered a hero by some in black community:
It is definitely noteworthy, and documented in many media outlets (but mainly the StL Post Dispatch), that members of the community praised Thornton. There were many signs around the Meecham Park neighborhood that memorialized Thornton but said nothing of his victims. A few people even went so far as to call him a "Hero" at subsequent community meetings regarding the event.
From the blog of Nicholas Stix:
"Sergeant Biggs was a “cool, calm” man who had been a cattle rancher in Colorado, before returning home to the St. Louis County area to become a Kirkwood city policeman 20 years ago.
Officer Ballman had been a Marine, a corrections officer for two years, and a Kirkwood city policeman for eight. The old Marine’s ability to defuse prison conflicts was legendary.
DPW Kenneth Yost, known both for his strict adherence to rules, and for his helpfulness towards citizens navigating the city codes, had been married for 41 years to his high school sweetheart, the former Cathy Voss.
Councilman Michael Lynch was an architect and Special Business District booster.
Councilwoman Connie Karr, a former journalist, planned on running for mayor.
(Mayor Mike Swoboda, 69, critically wounded, died 7 months later.)
Nicholas Stix says it best here:
"Perhaps the oddest thing about the experts and police chiefs and reporters and editors and tenured professors who constantly tell us that these black-on-white atrocities aren’t racially motivated, is that blacks don’t believe that for a second. They know that they are racially motivated, they say so, and they celebrate them for it."
As Gerald Thornton said of his brother, he went to war. You may not be interested in race war, but race war is interested in you."
Ironically, the company was owned by liberal democrat supporters who had a record of supporting liberal political causes. The company claimed that Thornton never complained of racist harassment .
Omar Thornton was confronted with videotaped evidence that he had been stealing beer. Company officials then forced him to resign. He responded by going on a rampage, killing eight co-workers, wounding two others and then killing himself.........

After the slayings, Thornton called 911 and complained to a state trooper that the beer distributing firm was "a racist place."
Police yesterday issued a report that refuted the racism claims, saying Thornton "did not seem to understand the concept of seniority."
Lots of support for this racist mass murderer in the black community:

Finally CHANGE WE ALL CAN BELIEVE IN !
A black man has stood up and tried to even the score by killing white people. It's about DAMN TIME. I know Colin Ferguson is somewhere smiling...(Long Island Railray Massacre shooter).ALL HAIL OMAR THORTON ! hip hip hooray !"
Interesting that Thornton justified his mass murder by claiming that it was revenge against white racism and he seems to have plenty of supporters on the above black forum.
He probably was an affirmative action hire in the first place.
More information on the thug:
Previously Burke had worked for an airline in Rochester, New York, where he was a suspect in a drug-smuggling ring that was bringing cocaine from Jamaica to Rochester via the airline. He was never officially charged, but is reported to have relocated to Los Angeles to avoid future suspicions.
In Rochester David Burke worked for USAir for 14 years before transferring here a year ago. In recent years he had been investigated on suspicion of being part of a narcotics ring, but nothing was found to warrant a formal charge. That held true, also, for allegations of automobile theft.
Allan Burke, who teaches special education in Rochester, said romantic relationships had brought David Burke seven children, but he never married. ''Is it a crime that four boys in a family don't marry?'
The 1991-92 trial of Hulon Mitchell, leader of the black, Miami-based Yahweh sect, brought to light what may be some of the most shocking antiwhite murders ever committed in the United States -- but they remained mainly local news. Mr. Mitchell's cult was based on a theory of the white man as devil, which he spread in various ways. One was to show cult members -- men, women, and children alike -- the vilest possible pornographic videos of white women having sex with animals or black men. He would call the woman "Miss Ann" and claim that her degradation proved she was a she-devil.
He also gave a regular course in hatred of whites, which came to be known as the Killing Class. "How many of you would bring back a white head?" he would ask, and everyone would raise his hand. He would then shout, "One day, Yahweh is going to kill the white devil off the planet. We're going to catch him and we're going to kill him wherever we find him. All over America, white heads are going to roll!"
All told, members of the sect appear to have killed at least seven different "white devils," beginning in 1986, and ears or fingers were usually brought in as proof of mission accomplished. Sect members also killed several blacks, but they were apostates and other sworn enemies.
Miami police were reportedly hesitant to pursue these crimes for fear that they would be accused of racial and religious persecution. And, in fact, that is precisely the argument the defense attorney and former judge Alcee Hastings tried to make. In May 1992, a jury found Mr. Mitchell guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.
In fact, the Yahweh trial ran concurrently with the trial of the Los Angeles policemen who were videotaped beating Rodney King. Mr. King's name was constantly in the news and practically a household name; few outside of Miami had heard of the Yahweh cult.
Jared Taylor, Paved with Good Intentions: The Failure of Race Relations in Contemporary America (New York: Carroll & Graff Publishers, 1992), 90-91.
The instant case is arguably the most violent case ever tried in a federal court: the indictment charges the sixteen defendants on trial with 14 murders by means such as beheading, stabbing, occasionally by pistol shots, plus severing of body parts such as ears to prove the worthiness of the killer. They were also charged with arson of a slumbering neighborhood using molotov cocktails. The perpetrators were ordered to wait outside the innocent victims' homes wearing ski masks and brandishing machetes to deter the victims from fleeing the flames.
Rozier, who admitted killing seven people, later became the prosecution's star witness. In a cool, detached voice, he told the courtroom how, on another occasion, he and another Death Angel walked the streets of Miami for hours looking for white devils, before coming across a man passed out in a car in a bar parking lot. The two men stabbed the man in the chest repeatedly, then sliced off his ear. When they dropped it in the dark and couldn't find it, they went back and cut off his other ear and brought it to Mitchell.
As more white men, usually homeless or alcoholic drifters, started showing up dead and mutilated on Miami's streets, the police thought the killer was a deranged Vietnam vet. They never suspected the killings had been ordered by one of the city's revered black leaders.
After a decade-long investigation, a year and half of court dates and 160 witnesses, the ethnically diverse jury handed down the verdict. The prosecution was stunned: the panel acquitted seven disciples, convicted seven of conspiracy, and declared a mistrial in the case of two members when they failed to agree on a verdict. They found Mitchell guilty of conspiracy but deadlocked on the racketeering charge.
Judge Roetgger sentenced the seven disciples to 15 to 16 years each, and Mitchell 18 years. His followers cried tears of joy and his victims, tears of bitter frustration. The cult had gotten away with murder.
Remembering The Zebra Killings By: James Lubinskas
"MOST SERIAL KILLINGS in America take on a life of their own through movies, books and documentaries. The crimes of Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer and The Son of Sam are still well remembered years after they were committed. Yet there is one set of serial killings that has been almost completely forgotten and is rarely mentioned in popular culture.
The Zebra Killings occurred in the San Francisco bay area between 1972 and 1974 and left 73 people dead. They were dubbed the Zebra Killings because of the radio channel used by the police investigating the case (channel Z). The name would take on a more sinister meaning as it became apparent that a group of blacks was systematically stalking and killing whites simply because of the color of their skin.
Zebra (1979) was written by crime writer Clark Howard and remains the definitive book on the murders. Using court records, police reports, witnesses and interviews with the killers themselves, Howard was able to piece together the horrid details of the murders and the unrelenting hatred that inspired the killers......
A few hours after he dropped a dime from a pay phone, detectives brought him to a police station for questioning. He spilled all the beans, telling them about the Death Angels and the point system based on killing white people.
Howard writes that the Black Muslim sect believed white people were an inferior race created by evil scientist named Yacub, and that by killing "blue-eyed devils" or "grafted snakes" — as they called Caucasians — they would be guaranteed entry to heaven. The cops couldn't believe their ears. But as Harris talked to them, they realized he was the real deal. Only a person who had witnessed the murders would be able to recount them in such detail.
Harris also told them about a killing that hadn't made the paper, that of a young white homeless man the group had kidnapped from Ghirardelli Square. The men had brought the man back to Black Self Help, stripped him naked and tied him to a column in the loft, Howard writes. Then each of the men had chosen a weapon — a knife, a meat cleaver, a machete — and taken turns hacking him to pieces. Harris told the detectives that he'd dumped the body into the San Francisco Bay.
While the Bay Area around San Francisco gets most of the attention in news stories about the Zebra Killings, this campaign of racist murders by the Nation of Islam (Black Muslims) was probably nation wide with 73 whites murdered in the Bay area alone.
Here is a news story about more Zebra murders in Sacramento.
SACRAMENTO (AP) - Three Black Muslim youths face life in prison after what the prosecution called random attacks on white men in the name of Muslim teachings.
All three were convicted in Sacramento County Superior Court Saturday of first-degree murder in the death of a white man who was on San Francisco Mayor Joseph L. Alioto's "Zebra murders" list. The list contained the names of 73 persons whose killings in California since September, 1970, were characterized — Alioto said – by the pattern of operations of a Muslim-related Death Angel group.
But this was not the work of a "splinter" group, the murders were not limited to San Francisco, and it wasn't a few whites in San Francisco. The mass murder campaign was orchestrated out of the NOI's headquarters in "New Mecca" (Chicago), was run through each city's local mosque, and 17 whites were murdered in the City by the Bay alone, just during the period of October, 1973-April 1974. In his classic work, Zebra, Clark Howard estimated that the NOI murdered 270 whites in the state of California alone during the early 1970s.
During the same period, the NOI also murdered whites in Oklahoma City and New York City, and an old San Francisco copper who worked the original Zebra detail told me that at the time he saw a secret FBI memo that reported that a parallel campaign was underway on the East Coast.

Authorities believe radicals are linked to other unsolved slayings of white victims.

The killers all sought membership in an elite NOI group called the “Death Angels,” which had recruiting meetings and pep rallies in the attic at Black Self-Help. In order to become a Death Angel, one had to murder four white children, five white women, or nine white men.
According to Clark Howard, the NOI had gangs of assassins up and down the state of California:
At that time, there were fifteen accredited Death Angels in California. To achieve their collective membership, they had already quietly killed throughout the state 135 white men, 75 white women, 60 white children – or enough of a combination thereof to give each of them his required four, five, or nine credits.
This was October of 1973. The California attorney general’s office had already secretly compiled a list of forty-five of those killings which had taken place in the cities of San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Long Beach, Signal Hill, Santa Barbara, Palo Alto, Pacifica, San Diego, and Los Angeles; and in the counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Contra Costa, Ventura, and Alameda
. All of the victims were white. All the known suspects in the killings had been associated with the Black Muslim movement. The killings were even then continuing throughout the state.
The Zebra killings were the most atrocious manifestation of a phenomenon which began in the 1960s when homicide rates soared in urban America generally. By the late 1970s, San Francisco’s homicide rate was 18.5 per 100,000 population, up from 5.9 in an equivalent period in the early 1960s.
. Much of the increase was driven by a rise in black on white killings. It was in this climate that the Zebra killings occurred.

Racist demagogue, Al Sharpton, apparently incited this mass murder in a white merchants store in Harlem, killing 7 people, NYC, 1995.
Al Sharpton even has his own talk show now on MSNBC!
In 1995, a black Pentecostal Church, the United House of Prayer, which owned a retail property on 125th Street, asked Fred Harari, a Jewish tenant who operated Freddie's Fashion Mart, to evict his longtime subtenant, a black-owned record store called The Record Shack.
Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the planned eviction of The Record Shack. Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business."
On December 8, 1995, Roland J. Smith Jr., one of the protesters, entered Harari's store with a gun and flammable liquid, shot several customers and set the store on fire. The gunman fatally shot himself, and seven store employees died of smoke inhalation
Roland James Smith, Jr., 51, a Harlem resident with a criminal record going back 30 years, walked into Freddy's Fashion Mart, clothing store at 272 West 125th Street, pulled out a gun, ordered all the black customers to leave, spilled paint thinner on several bins of clothing and set them on fire -- a fire that resulted in killing 8 people including Smith.
Smith had been part of a group of picketers, led by Al Sharpton , head of the National Action Network.
The picketing, which had gone on for months, had led Harari to seek relief with the State Supreme Court. In papers filed just one day before the fire, he said, "Recently, the protesters have made motions of striking a match and throwing it on outside clothing displays or in the doorway of the store."
An affidavit by Kareem Brunner, a black security guard killed in the blaze, said that he had been called a "cracker lover" and "would get mine as a traitor [to the black race]." Brunner, was the only black that Smith did not order out of the store before setting it afire.
Store manager, Steve Brodsky, described how a particularly vicious demonstrator called Shabazz would force his way into the store, pushing Brodsky aside and shout "I will be back to burn the Jew store down -- burn, burn, burn."
Also in 1995, Sharpton led his NAN in a racially charged boycott against Freddy’s Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned business in Harlem. The street leader of the boycott, Morris Powell, was also the head of Sharpton’s “Buy Black” Committee.
Powell and his fellow protesters repeatedly and menacingly told passersby not to patronize the “crackers” and "the greedy Jew bastards [who are] killing our [black] people." Some boycotters openly threatened violence against whites and Jews––all under the watchful, approving eye of Sharpton, who referred to the proprietors of Freddy's as "white interlopers."
The subsequent picketing became ever-more menacing in its tone until one of the participants eventually shot (non-fatally) four whites(Of the four whites wounded in the gunfire fleeing the burning store, the police said three of them were listed in critical condition)inside the store and then set the building on fire––killing seven employees, most of whom were Hispanics.
Eight murdered in the Fountain Valley Massacre in 1972
."...the attackers rounded up as many as 15 people into a nearby patio. Four Miami residents were among them. Eight were ordered to kneel in a circle and systematically shot to death with a shotgun and .45-caliber and 9mm
pistols. The four from Miami, two couples vacationing together, were among the dead.
The five black robbers, who had screamed racial, anti-white insults during the massacre, according to witnesses, then fled with $731 from the cash register and the personal effects of the dead."
Racist Black Gang murders 12 whites in unprovoked attacks in Chicago area in 1972
During the struggle for black civil rights in the South during the years 1954 through 1968, a total of 40 people were murdered by racist whites according to the National Civil Rights Memorial:
"The Civil Rights Memorial is a memorial in Montgomery, Alabama to 40 people who died in the struggle for the equal and integrated treatment of all people, regardless of race, during the Civil Rights Movement in the United States."
Among those 40 murdered are Emmit Till, Medgar Evers, and the 4 black children who died in the Birmingham church bombing, and 34 others, many of them white.
Most of these murders were major national news stories and the story of these victims and the struggle for black civil rights is prominent in the American History curriculum in schools and universities. Plus many their stories have been repeatedly immortalized in film documentaries and Hollywood movies.
And Medgar Evers recently was honored by the US Navy:
|US Navy names ship after murdered activist for black civil rights|
Here is an example of a black racist group, that targeted and murdered 12 whites in the Chicago area that was a brief blip of national news in Time Magazine in 1972.(Imagine the 24/7, nationwide news coverage for months on end if a local chapter of the KKK had targeted and murdered 12 blacks !)
"The scenes evoked grisly memories of the Manson killings. In August, Retired Insurance Broker Paul Corbett, his wife and sister-in-law were found dead, each shot in the back of the head with a .25-cal. gun, in the pantry of Corbett's $100,000 home in the fashionable Chicago suburb of Barrington Hills. A fourth victim, Corbett's stepdaughter, was dead in the blood-spattered kitchen, shot in the chest with a .30-cal. weapon.. A month later Machine Designer Stephen Hawtree, his wife and teen-age son were executed in a similar fashion in the basement of their rural home in Monee, Ill. In both instances there was no apparent motive for the slaughter.
Ballistics tests not only linked the two crimes but added two more. Police determined that the same weapons used in the Corbett and Hawtree killings were involved in the murders of Michael Gerchenson, 19, a sophomore at Southern Illinois University who was found shot to death in May on a stretch of highway near West Frankfort, Ill., and Specialist Five William Richter, 23, who was fatally shot in September while sleeping in a pickup truck parked next to an expressway in suburban Chicago.
Fearing that the murders were the work of a Manson-style gang, some residents of Barrington Hills were even said to have started carrying shotguns to cocktail parties. Last week the gang theory gained some credence. Chicago police announced that they had arrested nine black youths who are members of a little-known terrorist group that calls itself "De Mau Mau."
Cook County Sheriff Richard Elrod described De Mau Mau as a group of disgruntled Viet Nam veterans. Racial hatred, he said, "could have been one of the primary motives" for the slayings. "I can see no other apparent motivation."

" In addition to the ten Illinois murders, authorities speculated on possible connections with a home invasion at Grand Island, Nebraska, which left two victims dead and one wounded on September 9.
In front of room 1829, Essex shot to death Dr. Robert Steagall and his wife Betty Steagall. He soaked telephone books with lighter fluid and set them ablaze under the curtains of the Steagalls' room. On the 11th floor, Essex shot his way into rooms and set more fires. He killed Frank Schneider, the hotel's assistant manager, and shot Walter Collins, the hotel's general manager.
They censor the information below from the "news" article:
"It was 10:15 a.m., January 7, 1973, when Essex shot grocer Joe Perniciaro with his .44 Magnum carbine. Essex was making his way to the Downtown Howard Johnson's Hotel. Gaining entry from a fire stairwell on the 18th floor, Essex told three startled black hotel employees not to worry, as he was only there to kill white people."
